Rihanna canceled another concert, but this time, absolutely no one could fault her. (Actually, if you’re reading this–please don’t fault her.) She was scheduled to appear Thursday at the Rock in Rio concert in Madrid as a headliner but pulled out of the show after her grandmother, Clara “Dolly” Braithwaite, died of cancer last weekend. Concert organizers said that they planned to find a replacement and to offer refunds.
The singer did perform earlier in the week in Sweden and was visibly shaken to the point where some members of the crowd walked, thoroughly missing the point of everything.
Rihanna had already posted on her (highly viewed) Twitter account about the death and her mourning:
Goodbye #grangranDOLLY get your beauty rest until I see you

Nor was that mourning strictly in the family.
Praying for family and the lost loved one. She was like my grandmother. Love you GRAN GRAN! RIP
