About a month since LeBron James and the Miami Heat won the 2011-’12 NBA championship, and some of us haters out there are still looking for people to point fingers at for allowing this horrible thing to occur. Aside from LeBron himself, as well as fellow Heat performers Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Shane Battier and Mike Miller—seven threes in one game, are you f’ing kidding us?—we now have another name of a party responsible: Mississippi rapper Big K.R.I.T. LeBron revealed the role that K.R.I.T. played in the Heat’s championship run in an interview with MTV:
There was one song in particular that helped motivate LeBron, Dwayne Wade and the other members of the Miami Heat’s squad to victory: ‘Also Big K.R.I.T. ['I Got This'] was one of our theme songs this year,’ James said of the single from K.R.I.T.’s debut album, Live From the Underground.
Great. Before Big K.R.I.T. came along, with his “I got this here…fuck these haters, fuck these hoes” boasting, the Heat were just a bunch of overhyped, underperforming losers. Now they’re NBA champions, a fact we all have to live with forever. But can you live with that yourself, Justin? Did you have to be so goddamn motivational?
